Well, no American MainStream Media source will ever call any Hollywood Green a hypocrite. So, if you happen to be curious about Leonardo DiCaprio’s green credentials you have to go off-shore, to say England, where the DailyMail.com provides a picture of how Mr. DiCaprio conducts his off-screen life. The UK blog posted this “Leonardo DiCaprio the ‘eco warrior’ flew on a private jet from NY to LA SIX times in SIX weeks, Sony hack documents reveal”. The storyline is:
“He’s a high profile advocate of environmental causes, believes the world must act now to combat the effects of global climate change and is producing documentaries about endangered species.
But accusations of hypocrisy have also dogged Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, 40, with detractors accusing him of not practicing what he preaches.
RadarOnline said that several documents relating to Sony corporate travel records show the Titanic and Wolf Of Wall Street star took six private roundtrip private jet flights during April and May 2014.
It is also reported that he booked on a round-trip flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. He stayed in Las Vegas for just eight hours before flying home again.
This video illustrates DiCaprio’s propensity for using fossil fuels while ignoring his plea to us simple folk to stop using them.
In that video, there was one shot of the bearded DiCaprio at a protest march. He was interviewed and said that we need to be on “100% clean energy”. As fossil fuels are the antithesis of “clean energy” in his mind, how is he planning to fly his private jet without using fossil fuels.
As noted above in the DailyMail.com quotes, he is making mini-documentary about saving the world from fossil fuels. In the first one “About Carbon” he says “we no longer need the dead economy of the fossil fuel industry”. What was that he said??? Eighty-five percent of the world’s energy is produced by fossil fuels. Renewable energy hardly makes a blip as a source of the world’s energy. One gets the feeling that perhaps a good bit of his hypocrisy is fueled by his lack of any real world understanding.
Disclosure: I really like DiCaprio movies. I wish he would stick to what he is good at and leave the thinking to other people.

Climate Change Sanity 
As for global warming, odds are we are entering another Maunder Minimum. The last 11 year sun cycle just ended with the fewest sunspots in over 100 years. All indications are we are entering a once every 206 year solar cycle of the sun dimming. How has the weather been the last 2 years? Please google NASA scientist John Casey on solar hibernation. If he is right, we will be seeing food shortages from crop failures, like the “mini ice age of 1640”. It is truly scary.
As for Hollywood actors, their just kissing ass to Producers and Democrats who use global warming as a road to true socialism. We need new technology to replace fossil fuels. We need nuclear fusion power plants. They haven’t been invented yet and are much cleaner than current nuclear fission plants. That is the only technology to replace fossil fuels. Until then, I will proudly continue fracking in South Texas, providing our great country with the CO2 generating fossil fuels we will need to get through the global cooling about to hit us.
Actors are like the average Polly taking public positions on things they know nothing about and are to lazy to find out anything about it simply because it’s popular and gets them noticed.
