If you are comfortable with eliminating private property; if you are comfortable with eliminating Free Enterprise; if you are comfortable with dumping our form of government for socialism or communism; if you are comfortable with having the UN rule the world; then you are comfortable with people that want to use the man-made global warming theory as the instrument to achieve all of the above. And the kicker is they do not care if the theory of man-made global warming is wrong.
As most of you are not in accord with those objectives, it’s likely that you are not aware that the founders of the global warming movement have those things in mind.

Another positing with quotes from scientists is in the making. The fact that most of the “scientific” predictions made by these alarmists have not materialized. Why does the media continue to spread more predictions from these same people and organizations that have such a sorry record?

Climate Change Sanity 
You shouldn’t confuse people’s political/ideological agenda with facts on global warming though. Of course climate change has a natural component into it, but I guess you would believe whatever you want to believe, and so do certain activists and climate change deniers 😉

I don’t usually confuse Political/ideological agendas and scientific facts. I just know where the money comes from and it’s not from the scientists but rather from the political/ideological leadership. Sometimes the facts and the political leadership coincide. But almost all of the time the first consideration of the political/ideological leadership is “how will this help me and my agenda”. What ever that is will be where the money goes. For example, the renewable energy initiatives have not brought about any real scientific breakthroughs and they are, by and large, fiscal disasters surviving only because of government (Federal, State and local) subsidies and incentives. I am supportive of renewable energy R&D but not more of these wind and solar clunker projects. When real breakthroughs happen to make these renewables able to stand on their own two feet, then lets start building them.
And addressing the UN leadership, if it for example, wants to destroy capitalism and be the World Capital along the way, you can bet the money and influence they have will be directed toward achieving those ends; and, if AGW forwards those intentions, all the better.

That’s not the end of the story however, in many instances we do see researches funded by independent organisations – those that are not in any tangible way backed up (either directly or indirectly) by big corporations or high-profile personalities. In the absence of evidence suggesting otherwise, it would be wise not to make any accusation about the validity of their research findings. However, it still holds that science is a human activity, and as such can be tampered by human error and bias.
